Sensational breakfast with lots of exceptional food. Airy room with spacious bathroom and nice beds. Great and unbeatable location for somewhere in the area, and only about 15 minutes' walk to Tain centre😀

We explored local golf courses, including the scenic Dornoch and the highly regarded Tain Golf Club. The cozy beds and friendly service. The easy access to the coast offered lovely walks right from the hotel!

We had no interaction with staff , a bit odd. Breakfast was limited to a make-yourself setup since the hotel was transitioning ownership.

The room was rustic yet super clean, and the breakfast was enormous and delicious! Our hostess was super helpful, especially with laundry service, which saved us time for sightseeing. It's a gem near the highlands.

Nice hotel with great wi-fi, a tv, and a kettle. On my first stay, the staff gave me taxi tips, which I still remember. I can't wait to return!

I experienced very nice hospitality from the family running the place, and the food was out of this world were great, including walks along the scenic Aldie Burn which is just over a kilometer away. As a solo traveler, I appreciated thenice and neat room that catered to all my needs, but I did notice the hotel was slightly on the tired side, which could use a bit of fresh paint in some areas.

It was just a fine choice for a short visit in Tain with very good value for money. The fish and chips were epic-beautifully cooked and so tasty. Try to arrive early to enjoy a chat with the friendly hosts.

I spent two nights at Carnegie Lodge and overall found it quite nice. The room was clean and spacious, really comfortable, and I appreciated the warm atmosphere created by the staff. Breakfast portions were generous and satisfying. I enjoyed a full Scottish breakfast that was well-cooked. The location was great, with easy access to nearby golf courses and lovely coastal walks. Unfortunately, the main door of the hotel banged shut loudly when guests entered or exited, which disrupted the peaceful ambiance at times. I noticed some areas of the hotel seemed a bit tired and in need of fresh décor. Nonetheless, the staff, especially Heather, were helpful, and I felt well taken care of . This place has potential with just a bit of attention to detail.

The rooms are cozy with flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms. Loved the electric kettle for a nice cup of tea. Breakfast was a treat, with a mix of fresh fruits and good coffee. The staff was super friendly, and the location was peaceful. Plus, there's plenty of parking space available.
